Peter’s career has been both dynamic and diverse, spanning multiple industries and countries, and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit alongside a keen passion for solution-driven thinking. He entered the insurance sector in 2018, joining African Risk Transfer (ART) as it established itself as a premier Pan-African commercial insurance brokerage headquartered in Mauritius. Driven by a commitment to excellence, Peter swiftly earned a Level 4 Diploma in General Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute UK (CII).

With advanced expertise across multiple classes of commercial insurance, Peter has led ART’s largest client portfolios, including Pan-African Real Estate, Construction, Hospitality, and Political Risk sectors. He also spearheads the Financial Lines division, where he applies his technical knowledge to Directors and Officers (D&O) liability, Professional Indemnity (PI), Cyber, and Commercial Crime coverage.

After 15 years in senior management, with extensive experience in business leadership and operations, Peter was appointed Managing Director of ART in 2023. He now plays a pivotal role in driving the next phase of ART’s growth across Africa, guiding the company’s strategy and innovation in response to the region’s evolving insurance needs.
